What We Stand By
At Mountain View Equestrian, our philosophy goes beyond teaching people how to ride well—we’re dedicated to helping riders grow into the best riders and people possible. Located in the scenic foothills of Golden, Colorado, we offer quality and affordable horseback riding lessons that are perfect for those seeking a horseback riding experience in a supportive and welcoming environment while avoiding the pressure of constantly being watched by others.
We believe that horses are incredible teachers. Through horseback riding lessons, students build confidence, patience, responsibility, and a deeper sense of connection. Our program is grounded in respect—for the horse, for ourselves, and for each other—and we prioritize the safety and well-being of both horse and rider in everything we do.
Whether you’re stepping into the saddle for the first time or continuing your riding journey through Mountain View Equestrian's horse riding program, we strive to create a down-to-earth space where riders of all ages feel comfortable, encouraged, and inspired to embrace the Western lifestyle.

Our Core Values
At Mountain View Equestrian, we believe that learning to ride should be fun, hands-on, and productive each and every lesson, no exceptions based on age or skill level. That’s why our lessons and events go beyond just being in the saddle—we teach grooming, groundwork, horsemanship, and the everyday realities of life with horses, making Mountain View Equestrian's horse riding programs an enriching experience.
At Mountain View Equestrian, we are more than just a lesson program; we are a community of riders and their families and supporters. We strive to build lasting friendships, create positive memories, and foster meaningful experiences that our riders carry with them long after they dismount. Our goal is for every rider to feel supported, proud of their progress, and excited to return each lesson to learn, grow, and share in the joy that horses bring to our lives, making horseback riding and horse time truly special.
